A condolence message on the occasion of his passing:
We, all the members of the Karmapa International Buddhist Society, are deeply shaken by the Maha-Parinirvana of His Eminence the 3rd Jamgon Mipham Namgyal Gyatso Tso Jung Gepe Dorje Pal Sangpo Chok. Rinpoche la was a revered Nyingmapa master, as well as the beloved father of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje and His Eminence Lab Tri Chen Sonam Tsemo. His passing on Saturday, the 20th of December 2025, in New Delhi, leaves a void that is deeply felt across all Tibetan Buddhist schools.
While the loss of Ju Mipham Rinpoche la is irreparable for all of us, none of this compares to the weight borne by His closest circle. With heavy hearts, we offer our deepest condolences and prayers to the bereaved family members, foremost Mayum Dechen Wangmo la. Though our words may not have the power to diminish the grief, we humbly offer our unwavering support in this time of mourning. As the members of Karmapa International Buddhist Society, we stand by your side.
May Rinpoche la’s reincarnation swiftly appear and continue His immense Dharma activities for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The cremation ceremony for the Third Ju Mipham Rinpoche, His Eminence Mipham Namgyal Gyatso Tshojung Gyepe Dorje, was held at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) on the 10th of February 2026, following the traditional 49 days of rituals.
