Karmapa Public Course 2026

His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Thaye Dorje, will illuminate the path of the Bodhisattva, sharing timeless guidance from Śāntideva’s Bodhicarya Avatāra to inspire a compassionate and mindful way of life.

His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Thaye Dorje, continues his teachings on Bodhisattva life, focusing on Chapter 8, “Meditative Absorption,” of Śāntideva’s Bodhicaryavatara. He will give again two profound empowerments during the course.

 

His Eminence the 4th Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche will present Buddha Nature, while Khenpo Lobsang and Lama Jampa Thaye continue teachings on the Middle Way School (Shentong Madhyamaka) and Buddhist Epistemology (Tsema). Together, these sessions offer practical guidance for cultivating a compassionate, mindful, and positive approach to life, drawing on revered Tibetan Buddhist traditions.

During the course, you are warmly welcome to stay at KIBI. A range of accommodation options can be selected during registration, with meals included for those staying on-site. Please note that rooms are limited, so early registration is recommended as soon as registration opens. Guests joining from outside are also welcome and may register with or without meals.
