Public Meditation Course
Experience a week of inspiration and practice at KIBI’s annual Public Meditation Course – a precious opportunity to receive authentic Buddhist teachings and cultivate compassion under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa and senior masters.

Join us for the annual Public Meditation Course, guided by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Thaye Dorje. This course focuses on Chenrezig, the Buddha aspect of Compassion, and offers a rare opportunity to receive teachings and guided meditation directly from experienced masters.
Alongside Karmapa, esteemed teachers including Drubpon Nyigyam Rinpoche, Khenpo Tsering Samdrup, and Khenpo Chochok provide instructions on meditation and Buddhist practice. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to deepen their practice, connect with a supportive spiritual community, and experience the profound wisdom of the Mahayana tradition in daily life.

​​His Holiness will provide teachings and guide meditation practices throughout the course, focusing on Chenrezig.
Drubpon Nyigyam Rinpoche

Drubpon Nyigyam Rinpoche will confer the daily Sojong vows.

If you are undertaking Sojong for the first time, please attend the afternoon session on 1st December.

Additionally, he will teach Chenrezig practice and the Preliminaries with Guru Yoga & Meditation.


Khenpo Tsering Samdrup

Khenpo Tsering Samdrup will give teachings on: The Seven Points of Mind Training.
Khenpo Chochok

​Khenpo Chochok will give teachings of: Vipassana meditation, based on the Four Mindfulnesses.

​​Join the sessions online via KIBI’s YouTube channel or KIBI's Facebook page. Karmapa’s sessions are streamed on his website www.karmapa.org and on Karmapa’s Facebook page. The teachings will be translated into several languages on site, but the translations are not streamed online.

Accommodation
During the course, you are warmly welcome to stay at KIBI. A range of accommodation options can be selected during registration, with meals included for those staying on-site. Please note that rooms are limited, so early registration is recommended as soon as registration opens. Guests joining from outside are also welcome and may register with or without meals.
