Bone-chilling temperatures gripped the national capital on Thursday, 15th of January, as Delhi recorded its coldest morning of the season. Safdarjung, the city’s primary weather station, registered a minimum temperature of 2.9°C, the lowest January temperature since 2023.
In response to the severe cold, the Karmapa International Buddhist Society (KIBS), as part of its ongoing commitment to service and compassion, organized a blanket distribution drive to support the homeless and other individuals in need.
Today, the distribution was carried out by two teams:
•Team One distributed blankets in Bir Sarai, R.K. Puram, Safdarjung, Jor Bagh and AIIMS.
•Team Two covered Saket, Khanpur, Bhagam Pur, Chirag, Greater Kailash, IIT, and Archini.
May all sentient beings enjoy happiness, good health, and a long life.
