Reading Transmission by Khenpo Chodrak Tenphel Rinpoche

During the 2016 Spring Semester at K.I.B.I., Professor Sempa Dorje taught The Treatise on Pointing Out the Tathagata Heart by the 3^rd Karmapa Rangjung Dorje. As basis for his in-depth exploration of the text, Professor Sempa Dorje used the commentary by Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye for elucidation. It was a rare opportunity for K.I.B.I.’s academic and guest students to receive these precious teachings which encompass the heart of all Karma Kagyu teachings. To complete the transmission, Khenpo Chödrak Tenphel Rinpoche bestowed the lung (reading transmission) for both The Treatise on Pointing Out the Tathagata Heart and its commentary. Khenpo Chödrak Rinpoche also gave the lung for another essential Karma Kagyu text, The Treatise on the Distinction between Consciousness and Wisdom, by the 3^rd Karmapa.
