January 2, 2020
“The meditator aspires to attain the enlightened attributes of the Buddha for the sake of bringing about the welfare of countless sentient beings.”
Karmapa International Buddhist Institute organizes two major international Buddhist teaching programs every year. The second of these, the ‘Public Meditation Course 2019/20’, which was scheduled from 24th December 2019 to 2nd January 2020, has now come to an end.
More than a hundred participants from all over the world took part in the meditation course this year. The course was completed smoothly and with great expertise. Participants expressed their great satisfaction. All enjoyed the soothing experience of the meditation practices led by our precious teachers.
The 2019-20 Public Meditation Course was led by Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, along with other great masters of the Karma Kagyu lineage, including Venerable Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, Venerable Lama Choying Rinpoche, and Venerable Lama Nyigyam Rinpoche.
The merit accumulated from this occasion can lead to many positive outcomes. These include a better rebirth, a good long life, or the seed of enlightenment. We dedicate all of the merit generated from our practice during the Public Meditation Course to the enlightenment of all the beings.
May the dharma prevail on this earth without any hindrances.
