Sanjay Van Park

In front of KIBI you will find a World Heritage listed park, “Sanjay Van”. This is a large forested park facing the distant Qutab Minar. There are plenty of wild animals living there such as peacocks, foxes, squirrels, parrots, a few wild pigs and even antelopes. It is worth visiting this park, but if you want to do so, please make sure you go in groups of at least three people, since there have been violent attacks on visitors there in the past.

There is also another small park 200 metres up the road on the way to Qutab Hotel, where the locals go for a walk and do yoga in the morning.

Vasant Vihar, Priya
This is an area with a few shops, coffee houses, several banks and ATMs. There are two supermarkets with a good choice of Western products. You can visit a Vodafone shop there to get an Indian mobile card. There is also a cinema and a travel agency, “Gitanjali”, which we recommend.

INA Market
Small Indian market which offers mainly food but also clothes and hardware. There are stands selling lots of fresh fruits, nuts and dried fruits. You can also find ATMs and Western Union there. Closed on Tuesdays.

Sarojini Market
This is a large Indian market with lots of cheap things of inferior quality, such as clothes, hardware, heaters, mugs, plates, brooms and drugstore products. Closed on Mondays.

Nehru Place
This is well known as the computer and electronic market of Delhi. Closed on Sundays.

Shopping Malls

Select Citywalk, Saket District
A large shopping mall located in the Saket District Centre. There are western branded stores such as Zara, Nike, Adidas and several restaurants with western food; among them the famous “Hardrock Cafe”. There are two cinema complexes.

DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj
Another fashion mall complex with similar shops like City Walk. There are some nice restaurants such as T.G.I. Fridays for steak lovers. It has a roof top terrace.

We provide a wide range of Dharma books in our KIBI shop. If this is not enough, there are some good bookstores in Delhi to explore.
