A glimpse into the prayers on the occasion of the 1st Mahaparinirvana Anniversary of Mahapandita Yongzin Prof. Sempa Dorje at KIBI, New Delhi:

That day one year ago when we lost Prof. Sempa Dorje, the authentic scholar of Buddhism who served the communities until his very leave from this earth, was a very sad day indeed for the entire global family. In commemoration, KIBI sangha performed the Lama Chopa puja with tsok offering and the recitation of aspiration prayers.

Later-on, a very precious moment was shared when KIBI Publications released Genla’s book called “An Analysis of Punctuation and the Setting of Treatises”. The first copies were offered to Buddha’s, Their Holinesses the Gyalwa Karmapa’s and Kunzig Shamarpa’s thrones, and then distributed to the KIBI sangha.

Finally, at 6:00 pm in the evening, lamps were offered, along with the recitation of Atisha’s Lamp Offering Prayer. The program was attended by KIBI staffs, language students, and several guests, who warmly expressed their appreciation for having been a part of this, and experienced a sense of deep inspiration and blessing.

We always keep your legacy in our hearts and pray that many Bodhisattvas will come to our planet in support of all sentient beings to swiftly enlighten.

May all be auspicious!
