European Pilgrims meeting H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa

It is pilgrimage season in India! After one European and one Ladhaki pilgrimage group, K.I.B.I. was visited by the third pilgrimage group in 2 weeks on Sunday, February 28, 2016. This time the 36 participants, guided by Manfred and Eva Seegers, came from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They started 2 weeks of pilgrimage in India and Nepal by visiting K.I.B.I , before travelling to the 4 main Buddhist pilgrimage places (Bodhgaya, Saranath, Kushinagar, and Lumbini). They had the great fortune to meet His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa, receive teachings on how a pilgrimage can develop our practice and therefore our understanding of emptiness and compassion, and how it can remind us of Buddha Shakyamuni and our own spiritual journey. At the end the group received his blessing at the outset of their journey.
